About Me…

Hi! My name is Jessica, but everyone calls me Jess. I’m a travel advisor who obviously loves to travel — especially cruising! Here I will share my travel stories, personal preferences, tips, tricks, thoughts, and opinions; but it could just as easily include whatever else I feel like sharing: a moment that moved me, a new skill I’m learning, or even a random story from my life.

This site is a space for me to grow — and maybe something here will inspire you too. Whether it’s to book that dream trip you’ve been thinking about, or simply take one small step outside your comfort zone.

I’ve spent a lot of my life as a shy person, always trying to blend in (at least until you get to know me). It’s intimidating to step out of that, but I’m trying — and this is part of that journey. So this isn’t just about one part of my life. It could be about any piece that makes me, me.

I’m a proud cat-mom to two very different felines:

Marvin — a short-haired tabby whose spirit is a mix between an old man and a Supreme Court Justice; and

Bandit — a long-haired tuxedo whose spirit is a mix between a teenager and the Defendant who is appearing before Marvin.

I’ve always had a love for creating — whether it’s the latest crafts I’m obsessing (lasering, tumblers, crocheting, etc.), or geeking out over web design (looking at you, WanderWithJess.com). When I jump into something, I tend to jump in with both feet.

I created Wander with Jess as a way to blend my passions — thoughtful travel, storytelling, creating, and helping others feel empowered enough to explore the world in their own way.

Whether you’re here for inspiration, honest reviews, travel tips, or just a friendly place to dream up your next escape, I’m so glad you’re here.

Let’s wander together.

A few things about me:

  • I tend to overthink everything — including what to write on this page.
  • I believe every cruise line has its magic depending on the moment.
  • I am a certified open-water diver.
  • I think memories matter more than souvenirs — though I love those too.

My Mission

I believe travel doesn’t have to be fast-paced or Instagram-perfect to be life-changing. I’m here for slow moments, genuine connections, and helping others find their kind of joy — on the road or at sea.
